Associate Professor at the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology, University of Miami. Her main expertise is hair and scalp disorders. She is a clinician and also a leading expert in hair pathology on national and international level. She has authored over 130 peer reviewed articles referenced in PubMed Central, including 4 CME articles on hair pathology. She is the editor of two books on Dermatopathology and Alopecia and many book chapters. She is one of the editors for the JID snapshot quiz and an Associate editor for the newest journal just launched by the British Academy of Dermatology called Skin Health and Science. She has received The best teacher award for the last 4 years in row by the residents at the Dr Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology (2017-2020) and was the recipient of the first University of Miami Faculty council award for best Clinical educator (2018).
